Safeguard Your Home From Water Damage

If you are concerned about water damage in your home, a water alarm can alert you when water levels begin to rise. They can be placed directly on the floor or mounted near water heaters, dishwashers, sump pump pits or other areas in your home. Some models come with an automatic shut-off feature.

Water Damage to a Kingsburg Home

SERVPRO of Fresno Northeast / Shaver Lake arrived to a Kingsburg home to help a State Farm customer with a water loss. A toilet supply line in the home caused damage to a wall in the hallway, bathroom, bedroom and master bedroom. Our Green Cargo Van and truck transported the skilled technicians, equipment, and products to make our customer feel "Like it never even happened."

Water You Really Can’t See

Can you see the moisture in this image? That is because we are using a FLIR Thermal Camera in this image. This is one of the ways we find moisture that you might not otherwise see. You may think that your walls are not wet and don’t have moisture in them, but we always like to double check to be sure, because what you can’t see on the outside is most likely totally different then what you see on the inside.

Example of mold testing

Featured in this picture we are testing for moisture on the baseboard of a homeowners house that had a water damage. We always do this using the highest standard of equipment recommend by industry standards to see if there is moisture. The standards for the industry are for dry wall to read at 7 to 8 and the studs are 12 to 14. We are constantly double checking to make sure there isn't moisture anywhere in the affected and surrounding areas as we know how quickly mold can grow and spread.

Setting dehumidifiers for water mitigation in living room

This picture was set in a homeowners house in Fresno, California. The customers had a water damage that was considered relatively small with clean water and damage mainly to the carpet. We removed the carpet and were able to set up fans and dehumidifiers to suck up all the water and make it "Like it never even happened."
